Gazelle Indoor "hidden.ny"

This pair features the Adidas Gazelle Indoor in Collegiate Green, Hazy Sky, and Victory Gold, completely transformed through meticulous craftsmanship and cultural storytelling. The original upper has been entirely reconstructed using authentic HIDDEN.NY selvedge denim, sourced from @yoshinori1005 and made in Japan. A full pair of jeans was deconstructed, hand-dyed in three distinct tones—navy blue, light blue, and taupe—and then reassembled in a dynamic patchwork composition.

Adding to its cultural and artisanal depth, each side of the shoe features three traditional Japanese boro stitches, sewn entirely by hand, paying homage to centuries-old repair and mending techniques. The tongue carries forward the patchwork aesthetic and includes the original denim labels, repurposed as custom tongue tags. It’s been restructured with extra puffy foam padding and lined with premium Italian velour for a tactile and luxurious feel.

A small inner “ppf” label from the jeans was carefully removed and stitched onto the left eyelet as a subtle signature detail. The original outsole has been replaced with a rugged Vibram hiking sole, fusing streetwear with outdoor functionality. Final touches include hand-dyed flat cord laces from @allabove.store, offering a tonal finish that doesn’t distract from the craftsmanship.

Packaging has also been thoughtfully considered—"past present future" is printed three times across the top of the shoebox, and a custom side label was created to echo the shoe’s narrative. As a final expression of the project’s concept, a handmade signet ring by @levivst accompanies the pair. Crafted from 935 silver, the ring features the recycled logo intricately engraved in fine threads to mimic the stitched panels on the shoe, with branding placed on both side surfaces.
