GEL-Kayano 14 x gathering "V2"

This pair features a custom reimagining of the ASICS GEL-Kayano 14, created in collaboration with @gathering. The entire suede upper was meticulously hand-dyed in a soft pink tone, creating a delicate yet modern base for the design. The original mesh panels were replaced with 60-year-old antique Kantha fabric, showcasing a rare green and yellow floral print. Kantha, a historic textile practice, is traditionally crafted by women across generations, using old garments, saris, and fabric scraps to create richly detailed quilts. This one-of-a-kind fabric was seamlessly integrated into both the shoe’s panels and tongue, adding deep cultural value and artisanal texture. The design is completed with custom cord laces from @allabove.store, bringing together craftsmanship, heritage, and contemporary design in one unified silhouette.
